Black is a very sweet pony and loves food. When she regularly gets fed by hand, she may sometimes try to take food out of your pocket herself. Among the other black Shetlands, you can recognize Black by the fact that she has the most mane of them all.



Spikkel is truly the clown of the group. He loves to pull out his bag of tricks to make you laugh, but he’s not the easiest pony. He likes to do his own thing if he notices there’s room for it.



Oreo is still very young and inexperienced. She doesn’t often take part in pony holidays or trail rides yet. She absolutely loves attention, but patience is still a bit of a challenge for her.



Beertje hasn’t always had an easy past. Because of that, she sometimes needs a moment to warm up and see how things go. Once she gets to know you, she loves being scratched and cuddled. Beertje is a calm and slightly bigger pony.



Shadow loves going on walks and exploring the forest together. She can sometimes feel a bit insecure about things behind her, but this is improving all the time.



Shelly will do anything for you once she connects with you. She is a smaller pony with a calm character, which makes her very suitable for younger children.



Twilight loves attention and is a somewhat larger pony. Despite his size, he is gentle with children (and adults) of all sizes, although he can find it a bit difficult when someone is very energetic.



Plukje is also a larger pony. She loves being cuddled and is very willing to work. She enjoys going out with both older and younger children.



Tony is a sweet but also mischievous pony. He likes to follow his own plan, but if you calmly show him that your plan is more fun, he will happily join you.



Naomi is a large and broad Shetland. She enjoys walking, but prefers to take it easy. Among the other black Shetlands, you can recognize her by her larger size.



Dotje is an energetic pony who loves to move. This makes her suitable for more experienced children who are not easily scared. Dotje is the mother of the young Oreo.



Penny is one of the oldest ponies at Ommerland, together with James. She is also one of the sweetest, with endless patience during grooming and happily walking along with anyone. She can no longer go on long trips, but for children who enjoy grooming, cuddling, and shorter rides, she is the perfect choice.



Nina can never get enough cuddles. She loves attention, but even more she likes to try and get some food. While out walking, Nina may also try to snack. She looks a lot like Black, but has less mane.



Bliksem is a fantastic pony for trail rides. He likes to grab a bite along the way, but keeps walking nicely. He is very kind and reliable for everyone. Bliksem is not available for pony holidays.



Loesje is a true Welsh pony, which makes her taller than the Shetlands. She really enjoys grooming and riding through the forest.



Beauty is a smaller Shetland. She is a calm and gentle pony. She gets out of breath a bit quicker than the others, but with enough short breaks she can still enjoy walks and be ridden by younger children.



Jaimy, like Loesje, is also a Welsh pony. She can be a bit insecure at first, but if you give her enough confidence, she will bravely explore the world with you. She also does very well when paired with another pony.



Zorro is one of the smaller Shetlands. He always adapts to his rider, which makes him very suitable for younger children. He does need to have a little braid in his forelock, otherwise he can’t see well and may get startled.



Silvy is another black Shetland. She is very patient and has a calm and gentle character, making her ideal for children who are a bit nervous or for a first experience with ponies.



James is, together with Penny, one of the oldest ponies. He has been doing this work for a long time and is very experienced. Because of his age, he doesn’t need to walk or be ridden much anymore, but he absolutely loves being spoiled with hours of grooming and cuddles.



Roosje is the smallest pony we have. She is perfect for younger children, with or without experience. Roosje is very calm, gentle, and incredibly patient when it comes to long grooming and cuddle sessions.
