Grandma Romy
Grandma Romy, that's what we call her. Together with Penny, Romy is the oldest of the stable. Grandma Romy likes to enjoy her old age in peace and quiet. She does everything nicely at her own pace and that pace is a bit slow. Grandma Romy thinks everything is fine, as long as it is slow. This makes Grandma Romy very suitable for smaller riders and those who are a bit scared. Grandma Romy is very sweet.
Penny
The sweetest and oldest pony of Manege Ommerland, that is Grandma Penny. With her white colour and pink nose, you will easily recognise her among all the other ponies. Of all the ponies, Penny has lived the longest at Ommerland and makes everyone happy. Even if you are not very handy with ponies, you can go out with Penny. Penny is very sweet and will do anything for you. Walking, brushing, decorating, she likes it all. She does not like walking on tarmac, though. So take her into the woods, she enjoys that!
Loesje
Loesje is our handsome brown pony. Loesje is not a real Shetland pony, but just one size bigger and ideal for slightly taller children. Loesje is extremely sweet, but sometimes a bit naughty. Are you that too? Then you are a good match. Tree trunks can be exciting for Loesje, so you should keep that in mind in the woods. But let's face it, a tree trunk can also look very scary to animals, right? Dogs, Loesje is not a fan of those either, so keep that in mind.
Humpy
Meet Humphy. The very smallest pony Ponymanege Ommerland. Just like Brownie, Humphy is very suitable for the smallest riders. Humphy is also very sweet and takes it easy. Don't be in a hurry with Humphy, just take it easy. It is holiday after all! Humphy likes everything else, as long as it's nice and quiet.
Bliksem
Bliksem is one of our larger Shetlanders and sweet to young and old alike. Bliksem does need an adult/parent to show him the way. Do you take the lead with Bliksem? Then he will be your very best friend. Bliksem is the stables' first pony. This pony is only used for trail rides and cannot be booked for a pony holiday.
Guusje
Guusje is also a larger Shetlander and Guus would probably fit better. Guusje is incredibly sweet to handle. She is a real cuddly bear, cuddling, brushing, petting, braiding, Guusje loves it! Guusje has not been in the country for long and still has a lot to learn. Would you like to discover the world together with Guusje? Then Guusje is your ideal holiday pony.
Spirit
Spirit stands out with his special colour! Spirit is not a Shetlander but an A-pony. He is super sweet to handle and is suitable for older children with little or no experience. He hasn't been at the centre for long, but he likes it very much and enjoys all the attention.
Twilight
Twilight is not a Shetlander, but an A-pony. Twilight is sweet for young and old. He loves to cuddle for hours! For Twilight, you do need some experience or at least good help from your mum or dad. Twilight is a lot bigger than our Shetland ponies and is therefore also stronger.
Spikkel
Speckled immediately catches everyone's eye! His black socks and spotted body make him a beautiful and funny appearance. Spikkel is a bigger and tougher Shetland pony and he behaves like one. This makes Spikkel suitable for older children who have some experience. Spikkel dares everything with his tough character. Especially for quiet children this is very nice, Spikkel gives you self-confidence!
Jolientje
Jolientje is a very sweet pony. With her black colour and long mane, Jolientje is beautiful and she knows it. Jolientje is our diva and sometimes a bit stubborn. If you are sweet to Jolientje then she is sweet to you. Jolientje loves food and likes to keep it to herself. So if Jolientje is eating, it's best not to disturb her. We understand Jolientje: eating is best done in peace and quiet. Jolientje sometimes gets scared when you stand behind her, so it is best to approach her from the front. Jolientje is suitable for children without experience, provided there is a parent/adult in charge.
Spekkie
His name says it all: Spekkie is a very funny pony. Funny? Yes, Spekkie very often makes us Ana laugh. Spekkie is a bit naughty and sometimes gets into mischief, but he is very sweet to children. Spekkie quickly gets too fat and is therefore not allowed to eat too many sweets. Spekkie is full of enthusiasm and loves going out. Will you take her on a walk?
Beauty
Beauty is very sweet and loves attention. Cuddling, petting, brushing, preferably all day long. Beauty is also very special! If Beauty starts to trot or gets fussy, she can make a strange noise. This is part of her, so no worries. It makes her unique!
Roosje
Roosje is the sweetest pony at the riding school. And extremely suitable for smaller children. Roosje gets along very well with Romy, they are great friends and are also very similar. You don't need any experience to ride Roosje, everyone gets along well with her.
Naomi
Naomi is also a very sweet pony and especially suitable for children with a bit of experience. Naomi likes going for walks, but doesn't like hours of grooming or brushing, she gets a bit restless. Do you like to go out too? Then Naomie is the ideal holiday pony for you!
Shadow
Shadow is a slightly larger Shetlander, a medium-sized horse. Shadow is suitable for somewhat calmer children, who handle him calmly. You don't need much experience, because Shadow is super sweet! Shadow is a real cuddler and needs a lot of love and attention. Do you also love to cuddle?
Black
Black is a tough pony. Because of this, Black needs someone with a bit of experience and a parent/adult who takes charge and is consistent. Black is very scared of dogs, so you need to take that into account.
Shakira
Shakira is a miniature horse and therefore suitable for smaller children. You do need to have experience with ponies and be able to take charge. Shakira is not allowed too many treats, as this can make her impatient as she wants more and more treats. Candy is so tasty too! Shakira is a very smooth pony! Do you like nice and fast? Then you are a good match!
Dotje
Dotje is also a real 'dot'. Dotje loves attention and really needs it. Dotje is a very nice and sweet pony and loves hours of brushing and cuddling. Dotje is suitable for older children. Dotje does not like dogs, so stay away from them.
James
James is the sweetest pony for children who are scared or insecure. James gives you confidence and is very sweet. James is suitable for medium-sized children.
